Navigating technology in a sea of options

With the emergence of cloud technology, barriers to entry have all but fallen away and anyone with an idea and an internet connection can launch digital products. Which is by and large a wonderful thing, however one of the unfortunate by-products of this digital revolution, is a tremendous number of let’s say, not-so-good software applications.

There are virtually unlimited choices when it comes to technology for your hospitality venue. Online ordering, payments, bookings, loyalty platforms, staff management, the list goes on. How is one to make a smart decision in the face of unlimited options? It’s confusing to say the least.

Do you need one, a few, or all of them? Do you need them now? If not, when? How do you even know you need them? The answer seldom is all or none. Oftentimes your hospitality business will benefit from some technology adoption.

Our team members own and operate hospitality businesses. We know what works and what doesn’t. We know what’s needed, why and when. Hospitality, although not complex, but it’s made up of a lot of fine grain detail that only those who really know, really know. Only those who have lived and breathed it can truly understand.

Before you go off and grab yourself some fresh subscriptions, hit the pause button and consider the following:

  1. What problem are you trying to solve? If it’s not clear, then think about the problem more. In this process of problem-finding, the answer may reveal itself.

  2. What does “good” look like? Be specific. Precise action, requires a specific target.

  3. Listen to your customers. Really listen, and read. Are there any commonalities or themes in the reviews that customers write online? What are your staff saying? Are there any common and frequent problems?

We’ve considered the challenge of technology differently. We’ve taken a platform approach. We provide a base on top of which we have built functions that deliver specific functions can be turned on and off as needed. The benefit of this approach is that we can grow and evolve with your business and we’ll handle the technology. Get in touch and gain an advantage through the industry and technology expertise we have built.
